Master is a Tamil action thriller film written and directed by Kathi's Lokesh Kanagraj, and produced by Xavier Brito under the XB Filmmaker banner. The film stars Vijay and Vijay Sethupati in the lead roles, while Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah and Shantanu Bhagiyaraj are playing supporting roles. The music of the film has been composed by Anirudh Ravichandran, while the cinematography and editing has been done by Satyan Sorian and Philomin Raj respectively. Director Lokesh and co-writer Ratan Kumar made camouflage as part of the film.
The film is distributed by Lalit Kumar under Seven Screen Studios. The Master was originally scheduled to have a theatrical premiere in the summer of 2020 (April 9), but was delayed due to the COVID-19 epidemic and was scheduled to launch in January 2021 (Pongal's predecessor).
Liberation
The first poster of the film was released on December 31, 2019 with the start of the new year. The second look poster was released on Thai Pongal Day, January 15, 2020. The third look poster was released on January 26, 2020 on the occasion of Republic Day of India, in which the actors kept looking at Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi with intrusive eyes.
The film's satellite rights were sold to the TV network and the film's digital rights were sold to Amazon Prime Video. The master teaser will be released for Diwali - November 14 on the SunTV UTV channel.
